Kindergarten Placement

Parents of children who are preparing to enter kindergarten receive guidance and support beginning in the spring prior to application and continuing through the next school year until they are placed in a kindergarten for the following year. La Escuelita provides group workshops and individual counseling that guides families through every step of the process, including: exploring and narrowing public and private school options; applications; reviewing essays and references; arranging private school testing; and making final decisions.
La Escuelita preschool graduates will be prepared for Spanish-only, English-only, or bilingual classrooms. La Escuelita graduates attend private schools and selective public schools, including dual language and gifted and talented programs. For students in English-only schools, La Escuelita provides a Spanish Afterschool Program for continued opportunities to enhance their academic and communication skills in Spanish.
