In the fall of 2017, we opened our brand new garden-level facility on West 99th Street. Signing a long term lease for an expansive 6,300 square feet in St. Michael’s Church allowed us to design our dream home, as well increase our program offerings.
A private entrance leads into a welcoming reception suite, complete with a comfortable waiting area. Wide hallways branch out into six sun-filled classrooms, plus an indoor gym for rainy or cold weather. An expanded library holds hundreds of Spanish language and bilingual books, and includes reading nooks and small tables for cozy downtimes. An attached outdoor playground and a larger playground down the block for older children provide plenty of space for free play.
Our neighborhood offers classes many exciting places to visit. The public library is a short stroll away and Fridays bring the opportunity to visit a farmer’s market around the corner. Nearby, Central Park and Riverside Park provide plenty of green space. For parents and caregivers, the neighborhood is conveniently situated among several subway and bus lines. Multiple nearby coffee shops and diners make it easy to find a venue for a parent get-together or a post-preschool lunch date with the kids.
Our home also allows us to offer families more choice in the hours and days they send their children to preschool, including full day options open to all students. Children can attend their class in the morning, have lunch, rest time and then enjoy playtime and small group work with friends until 5PM. More time immersed in Spanish builds fluency with the added benefit of spending more time with our highly skilled and qualified preschool teachers.
